During a hearing on May 7, Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud strongly reprimanded the Bengal government. The Supreme Court bench led by the CJI was hearing the alleged teachers recruitment scam. The CJI also expressed concern over the destruction of OMR sheets and scanned answer sheets, asking why tenders were not issued for such a sensitive matter and also questioned the outsourcing of data management.
