After FTX, many admitted they hadn’t done any due diligence because they thought others had done it. This wasn’t an isolated incident; ironic for an industry built on the maxim of “don’t trust, verify.” As institutions re-engage with the asset class, it has never been as important as it is now for investors to perform effective due diligence to identify red flags much faster. It’s time to ask if crypto is doing its DD and if so, what does it look like?
