Today in the shop I make a leather bushcraft style sheath for my Woodlore clone that I made in the last video. This one is made from 7-8oz vegetable tanned leather with a belt loop, and additional dangler loop on a brass D-ring for an alternative way to carry it while camping and hiking.

I spent a good amount of time making a template that I will be able to use for future sheaths. This part of the process is a great way to prepare your paper pattern to ensure that you get your leather cut and shaped correctly the first time.

Then I show you the step by step process of making a sheath. It’s important to know your steps before hand to be sure you glue, stitch, and finish everything in the correct order to keep from having to pull your sheath apart and redo a step that was missed.

We hope you all enjoy, and don’t forget to like the video, and drop us a comment of what you think. Thanks!
