Hey guys, so you've probably searched High & Low all over the web to find out how to boost reference a 2-barrel carb and you couldn't find anything, right!? Well, that's why I made this video. The only vids you will find is Holley 4-barrel Blow Through Carbs but nothing at all on a 2 barrel! Which you can tell that the Holley's 4 barrel and 2 barrel are nothing like Autolite & Motorcraft 4 and 2 barrel carbs, they're built on totally different platforms but ultimately produce the same solution which is pushing fuel through the engine.

Ideally, my methodology that I am using in today's blow through build is using Hanger 18 procedures adding my own twist because I'm building on a 2-barrel platform plus I only plan on running 6-10 lbs. boost.

AGAIN, if you plan and running more boost them following Hanger 18's procedures is key to get the carburetor to work as a blow through.

Here's the link: https://www.hangar18fabrication.com/b...

Like I mentioned is this video there have been folks that did not even have to do anything to their 2-barrel carb when they installed their turbos. Mainly, due to the minimal boost of 6-10 lbs. I want to take a few steps farther and assure that my build will last. In my build I show you the importance of changing your carb float for a Nitrophil float so the boost under pressure will not crush the float. Next, I remove the choke rod and choke plate followed by sealing the choke hole with JB Weld. This will ensure that boost pressure will not leak out once the carb bonnet is placed on the carb. Lastly, adding 2 oil hoses or metal brake like hose on the air horns which will allow for the air flow to be more efficient. Just changing these few items should do the trick however, if something should happen down the road once I install my air/fuel gauge I "May" need to put bigger jets in or possibly add Boost Power Valve. A needed "add-on" is the 2" carburetor space that will fit between the carb and carb bonnet. This adds an additional rise for air flow and will help tremendously.

I hope this video helps you and sheds more light on how to build a blow through carb but on a 2-barrel platform.
