I’ve converted several Aquila machines to Direct Drive but I wasn't 100% happy with the results or the process. Some are hard to print, and some physically limit your machine by where they put the stepper motor. Decided to take the design challenge to make a free, out-of-the-box, Direct Drive that can be printed with the sample PLA that comes with the machines. This mod should work on the Aquila, X2, and C2 models. Here’s what I came up with; the OOTBDD.
