The Jaguar XK 150, launched in 1957, was the last model in the famous XK series, which included the XK 120 and XK 140. The XK 150 was initially available in two body styles: coupe (FHC – Fixed Head Coupe) and roadster (OTS – Open Two-Seater). In 1958, a version with a folding soft top, called DHC (Drop Head Coupe), was added.

This car was noticeably different from its predecessors. The XK 150 featured a more modern and less aerodynamic design with a wider and more comfortable interior, making it more appealing to the American market. The front received a new radiator grille, and the headlights were now fully integrated into the front fenders.

Under the hood, it had a 3.4-liter inline-six engine, which was later replaced with a more powerful 3.8-liter version. The base version produced 190 horsepower, while the 3.8-liter engine offered up to 220 horsepower. There were also versions with increased power, including supercharged models.

The Jaguar XK 150 DHC was particularly popular among buyers who preferred the combination of open driving and the comfort of a classic coupe. With this model, Jaguar reinforced its reputation as a manufacturer of luxurious and fast sports cars.

Production of the XK 150 continued until 1960, after which it was succeeded by the new Jaguar E-Type line, which became a new symbol of sports design and innovation. A total of about 9,400 units of the XK 150 were produced in all three body styles.
