Techignite is NTU College of Engineering’s very first virtual engineering festival where we take participants on a 2-month experiential journey to uncover the marvels of engineering! The theme for this year is Sustainability where our speakers will showcase how various industries incorporate sustainable elements in creating strategic solutions for the future!

In this Speaker Series by Mr James Lam, Senior Director of Coastal Engineering at Surbana Jurong, Mr Lam takes us through the process of space creation. As the third most densely populated country in the world, Singapore has a need to develop innovative strategies to optimise space and meet our growing needs. Beyond vertical expansion for residential or commercial use, Mr Lam takes us through some upcoming new spaces that Singapore is working on including floating solar farms, data centres, an underground storage at Jurong Rock Caverns and underground district cooling pipes!
