Hyliion CEO & founder Thomas Healy talks to HWT senior editor Tom Quimby about the driver display in the hybrid Hypertruck ERX which shows performance metrics like state-of-charge, battery temperature, speed and generator horsepower. The touchscreen display also allows the driver to change settings for things like regenerative braking and powertrain mode (all-electric, hybrid or charge). Healy said the ERX equipped with a natural gas range-extending engine is expected to roll out in late 2023 in a Peterbilt 579.
