Disney's "Beauty and the Beast Live!" opened at Disneyland in California on April 12, 1992. This production was very popular, and had over 4,300 performances in just over three years. Tony Award nominee, and Broadway legend Stephanie J Block was the original Belle. It also served as a development platform for the Broadway musical, which ran from April 18, 1994 -- July 29, 2007. The Disneyland musical played its final performance on April 30, 1995.
