Obviously we would expect expensive batteries to outlast cheap batteries and obviously there are certain situations where we want the best battery money can buy. For example, on hard to reach smoke detectors on the ceiling it would be worth the money to buy the longest lasting batteries we can. However, there are other situations where we might wonder: would I save money by buying more cheap batteries as opposed to fewer expensive batteries?
