The Beginning and The End of Bilal Ibn Rabah!
Bilal ibn Rabah[1] (Arabic: بلال بن رباح‎) or Bilal al-Habashi (AD 580-640) was an African of Ethiopian heritage[2][3] companion of Islamic prophet Muhammad, born in Mecca who is considered as the first muezzin[4] chosen by the prophet himself.
He was among the emancipated slaves freed by Abu Bakr (see Muhammad's views on slavery) and was known for his beautiful voice with which he called people to their prayers. His name can also be known as, "Bilal ibn Riyah" or "ibn Rabah" and he is sometimes known as "Bilal al-Habashi" or "Bilal the one from Habesha (today's Ethiopia)".[2] He died sometime between 638 to 642, when he was just over sixty years old.
Bilal Ibn Rabah, was an emancipated slave of key importance in Islam. He is said to have been one of the most trusted and loyal Sahabah (companion) of Muhammad. His respected stature during the birth of Islam is often cited by Muslims as evidence of the importance of pluralism and racial equality in the foundations of the religion. [Wikipedia]

The Beginning and The End of Bilal Ibn Rabah!
He says, "The only man they couldn't break was Bilal (RA)". The Only man. Why? Because Bilal broke them. Everytime they would say, "Believe in Lat, and Uzza (Pagan Gods)". Bilal would say, "My tongue cannot say that". And he would say, "A'had, A'had!" (One Allah, One Allah!). And all this persecution. And the Prophet (SAW) would see this persecution. And one day he went and said to the Sahaba (Companians) (RA), "Isnt there anybody out there that can buy Bilal (RA) and free him?" "Look at the torment that he goes through". And Abu Bakr (RA) was Abu Bakr, and he went to Ummayah Ibn Khalaf, and he said to Ummayah Ibn Khalaf, he said, "Sell me Bilal (RA)" And Ummayah Ibn Khalaf said, "Yeah, I'll him to you because you're the one who corrupted him in the first place". So Abu Bakr said, "How many, how much are you going to sell him for?" And he said, "Ill sell him for 10 gold coins". And Abu Bakr (RA) went home and he brought back 10 gold coins and he gave them to Ummayah. And Ummayah began to laugh. And Abu Bakr (RA) said "Oh Ummayah, what are you laughing for?" And Ummayah said, "Abu Bakr, I swear by Allah, if you had haggled with me and you had offered me 1 gold coin for Bilal (RA), I would have sold him for 1 gold coin". And Abu Bakr (RA) turned to Ummayah and said, "Oh Ummayah, I swear by Allah, If you had haggled with me and you had asked me for a 100 gold coins for Bilal (RA) for Bilal (RA), I would have given you a 100 gold coins!" "I would have given you a 100 gold coins!" Abu Bakr bought him and he freed him. And then what would Abu Bakr (RA) say about Bilal (RA), he would say, "Bilal Sayyedunah!", "Bilal is my master!" The greatest man after the Prophet (AS) to walk on the face of this earth is saying, "Bilal is my master!" Umar Ibn Khattab (RA) would say, he said, "Abu Bakr Sayyedunah, wa attakah Sayyedunah". "Abu Bakr is our master, and he freed our master". "He freed our master". And then came the Battle of Badr, and Ummayah Ibn Khalaf...
