In the beginning of my side hustle I was "the low price guy" doing junk removal. This worked for me for a little while and during this time I was focused on building my Google Reviews, Nextdoor Likes, and getting some jobs under my belt. After a while though, I realized that I was charging too little and that I wasn't going to be sustainable or very profitable.

This year, I refocused on raising prices and NOT winning every job. When I get turned down due to price I am glad that I saved myself a job that I should not be doing. The fact is, my time is limited and if the customer doesn't want to pay what I want, then I shouldn't discount or do that job. I can spend more time with my family, working out, or pursuing my other interests in this free time.

DO NOT play the low price game except in the beginning while you are growing your business. In my opinion, that is the only time it is acceptable to be the low price leader. Eventually, you need to raise prices to a point where your competition is as you have nurtured and developed your clientele.

Thanks for watching!
