One of the biggest animated sequels ever is coming to theaters this November, with ‘Frozen II’ set to put a chill on all other movies’ box office prospects for a good few weeks when smashes into multiplexes. The follow-up to the 2013 Disney hit comes with mammoth expectations: Will it be as good as the Certified Fresh original? Will it be as big? And will it give us a song as relentlessly earwormy as “Let It Go”? Ahead of the movie’s release, Rotten Tomatoes correspondent Naz Perez sat down with the ‘Frozen II’ cast – Idina Menzel (Elsa), Kristen Bell (Anna), Josh Gad (Olaf), Jonathan Groff (Kristoff), and newcomers Sterling K. Brown and Evan Rachel Wood – and a number of the creative forces behind the movie to get some answers. Plus, we asked what new songs steal the show this time around – the super-high “Into the Unknown” or a surprise number for Kristoff? – as well as who would play the characters when Disney releases an inevitable live-action version of the original movie. And if you want to hear Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez, the powerhouses behind the ‘Frozen’ soundtrack, live-compose a number, well we have that too.
