Click this for an honest Porsche Boxster Spyder review featuring a spirited drive through the country and always with lots of actual real facts and content. We were so excited to get the opportunity to review the new 718 Porsche Boxster Spyder. Coming in at a $128,950 MSRP too this one just had all the right goodies and looks. Although, they're no Porsche carbon bucket seats so if you're a track star that would be one ding on this 718 Spyder.

I will say, I loved the spec on this 718 Cayman GT4. We don't know WHAT it is about Gentian Blue but this color is straight fire in person. And I don't even usually like blue cars! But with the Porsche Carbon Ceramic Brakes (PCCB's), full interior leather Alcantara interior, with the 18-way sport seats, it just all comes together and we won't lie, got a like weak at the knees. Everyone who saw this car had to take a double look and do a walk around. The 718 Porsche Spyder in Gentian Blue literally color changes as you walk around the car in the sun.

Now let's talk about the 718 Porsche Spyder performance. After all, this is a sports car and performance matters. The 2020 718 Porsche Spyder has a 4.0 flat-six naturally aspirated engine making they say 414 hp and 309 foot-pounds of torque. This propels the 718 Cayman GT4 to 60 in 4.2 seconds, and let me tell you the sounds this engine makes are orgasmic to a petrol head. Just watch this 7718 Porsche Spyder review, and listen to that engine scream rolling through what may just be the best 6-speed transmission on the market today. I will say though, the 718 Porsche Spyder does NOT sound as good as the previous 981 Generation, mostly due to the gas particulate filters they install.

One negative of the 718 Porsche Spyder is the manual roof. We demonstrated it on this video and it can be difficult to get up and down. We wish that Porsche would install an automatic hardtop and still keep the drop-deadge 718 Porsche Spyder sexy appearance. If it had that, the 718 Porsche Spyder would be a perfect car with an exhaust which we discuss.

What really surprised us about the 718 Porsche Spyder at least this specific one, was the build quality and overall dare we say luxury interior. This 718 Cayman GT4 didn't have any rattles, and let's face it, for a sports car is rare. My $325k Aston Martin has more rattles than this thing, and it's supposed to be a track weapon!? We just don't know how Porsche manages to create such a quality product in the 718 Porsche Spyder. Beyond the build quality, the interior components, tactile feel, and infotainment technology all seem top-notch. Honestly, this car nails it in more ways than just performance.

Really the only negative is the 718 Porsche Spyder is just already popular. You won't have the only one at your local car show. But, you're in good company. If you know, you know the 718 Porsche Spyder is an absolute blast to drive. The GT3 suspension, the sounds of a naturally aspirated flat-six combined with the best brakes in the world, AND its mid-engine - it's good guys! Really good, way more than I could safely demonstrate on a review let me just tell you that.
