MediaTek at MWC 2024 showcased on-device generative AI demos that could create high-quality images and animated videos from text descriptions. The demos were shown on MediaTek Dimensity 9300 SoC-powered devices that feature MediaTek’s 7th gen AI processor.

The GenAI demos included an AI Summary Generator using Meta’s Llama2 7B LLM, and it does not need Cloud services for generating summaries. MediaTek also showed Stable Diffusion XL Turbo, a real-time text-to-image generator, which instantly generates images as users enter the prompt.

MediaTek also showcased AI expansion feature on a Redmi K70 device powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 8300 SoC. Here is our quick demo video from MediaTek’s MWC 2024 booth.
