After five years of working at makerspaces, I setup a new workshop and finally bought my own laser cutter! In this episode, I show how we uncrated our new OMTech laser engraver, connected it to our exhaust system and new chiller, installed the laser tube, ran safety tests and did our first test cut. I show the whole process from beginning to end, including a discussion about safety equipment.
