Lorena was exhausted, she had tried everything to survive her job, but she got to the point where she couldn't stand her arrogant boss anymore and told him what an idiot he was. That got her fired, and now she worried about how she would manage to pay her bills.
"I know it's hard, but I didn't have a choice," she recalled as she lamented her situation at a coffee shop. Lorena's place of work was a few buildings away, and she often went there after work.

Lorena was lost in her thoughts when she was suddenly interrupted by a weak voice. "Please excuse me, Miss. Do you mind if I drink the rest of your coffee when you're done drinking it? I'm a little nauseous from the cold," the person said. Lorena looked up and saw an unkempt man in front of her. Judging by his appearance, it didn't take long for her to realize he was a homeless man. "Coffee?" she asked confused.
The man noticed that Lorena seemed lost, so he repeated. "Yes, the coffee...can I have that?" he asked, pointing to it.
