Lauren dealt with breathing issues, chronic wheezing and recurrent bronchitis and pneumonia for most of her life, making running and hiking challenging. Despite her concerns, she was dismissed by doctors who believed she was too young and did not have the typical risk factors for lung cancer. Eventually, she experienced a collapsed lung and was sent for further testing and was eventually diagnosed with lung cancer.

In this cancer vlog, she shares how she then underwent surgery to remove part of her lung, how she advocates to be heard by doctors and despite not having any genetic factors or a smoking history, she emphasizes that lung cancer can affect anyone!
