During last year's second ACI Racing Weekend of 2023 at Monza, I managed to record the TCR Italy cars in action for their fourth round of the season, where the very large grid of the top touring cars Italian series gave a great show at the temple of speed, with battles and action all across the three days of racing.
The TCR Italy field is divided in two different classes; the first one is reserved for the cars equipped with the sequential racing gearbox, which are the fastest ones that also races in the other majors TCR championships, while the other class sees the DSG equipped cars in action, which features the VW group cars like the RS3 LMS, the Cupra and the Golf GTI, with a more road- similar gearbox that slows the cars down.
The 2023 overall championship was by Franco Girolami on the Audi RS3 LMS TCR My 2021 by Aikoa Racing, while the DSG class saw the Turkish driver Vedat Ali Dalokay on the Audi RS3 LMS TCR DSG by Bitci Racing Team AMS.
