MTB Fahren in Österreich illegal?! Will mountain biking finally no longer be illegal in Austria?! I certainly hope so! Austria is coming up with a national strategy for mountain biking.

Vice Chancellor Werner Kogler and Tourism State Secretary Susanne Kraus-Winkler stand in front of the cameras and announce the development of a national mountain bike strategy for Austria in the doorstep to the Ministerrat. The current situation limits the economy and tourism and offers mountain bikers insufficient legal opportunities to practice their sport, which is why a tough decision has been taken, as Werner Kogler describes it, and, in collaboration with the Bundesländern and four Ministerien, an österreichweite Mountainbike-Strategie is being developed.
