We weren't that impressed with the Mercedes EQC when it first launched. While Jaguar and Audi built their electric SUVs from the ground up, Mercedes decided to use one of its petrol SUVs as its base and spent a lot of time converting it to be a pure-electric. That wasn't our biggest gripe, though – it was the EQC's value for money.

Now, a year on from when we first drove the EQC, you can snap up one with a £20,000 saving. How? Well, buy one used and you can take advantage of a nearly new car but one that doesn't cost the earth to buy.

But is this a bargain Benz and one you should go for, or one to think twice about? Ginny Buckley finds out.
