The 2022 Nissan GT-R NISMO Special Edition was announced in April at the Nissan Global HQ Gallery by Chief Product Specialist Hiroshi Tamura, himself an avid car & GT-R enthusiast. The highlights are a more refined balanced engine and a new special colour "Stealth Grey".

That's not all, Nissan Motors has teamed up with Takara Tomy and McDonald's Japan to make a special Tomica NISMO GT-R toys for Happy Meal customers. Available within a 2 week span at random, the secret gold colour is the most sought after of all. In fact the Tomica sets were sold out in Japanese McDonald's restaurants nation wide after a week! No doubt many GT-R toy hunters kids and adults alike probably ate more Happy Meals than we should have.
