Hashiriya 「走り屋」literally translates to “House of Running”. It’s a generic term that Japanese people use to refer to not just illegal street racers and drifters, but to circuit racers and car enthusiasts whose are into running their cars hard and improving their skills at driving. However, illegal street racers refer to themselves as Hashiriya with a sense of tribal pride.

This video is an inside look at the high stakes world of the Hashiriya. It follows my first hand experience coming to Japan, buying a sportscar, getting involved in the underground car scene and becoming a street racer on the touge, and finally starting this documentary series to chronicle my experiences with the Hashiriya.

This took months to put together and I really put my heart and soul into it. I am both nervous and excited for this release, but I hope that my journey at least helps and inspires you a little bit to chase your dreams.

If you watched the whole thing, comment "bananas" and let me know what you thought!
