Being considered the all-time ruler of skateboarding’s most famous bowl is no small claim, but Vincent Matheron is hands-down the don of Marseille’s fabled Prado skatepark, a place where legends have been enshrined across skateboarding generations.

With his father working in XOXO skateshop right across the road from the park, Vincent has grown up within Marseille’s bohemian, left-field skateboarding culture which thrives in a city that is anything but conventional.

This French episode of Field Day focuses on a different kind of pro skateboarding life, one created and sustained on its own terms by the man on who’s shoulders the rich history of France’s concrete skateboarding culture rests as he represents his nation on the biggest skateboarding platforms in the world today.
