If you have a MK7 Golf GTI and you want to fully disable stability control, you need a Ross-Tech VAG-COM cable and VCDS Software.

Byte Settings:
05 - ESC ON/ASR OFF/ESC OFF
06 - ESC ON/ESC Sport/ESC OFF
09- Stock

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Connect Vag-Com cable to OBD-II Port.
2. Launch VCDS Software on PC. (VCDS 15.7.1 was used at time of writing.)
3. Navigate to: Select Control Module-03 ABS Brakes-07 Coding-Long Coding Helper
4. Observe byte 29, which should be the last field within this window.
5. If Stock, Change from 09 to 05 or 06. (See Above)
6. Hit Enter. Close this window with the Red X in the top right corner.
7. Click "Do It".
8. Dismiss "Coding accepted" screen. Shut down car. Disconnect Vag-Com Cable.
9. Start Car. Press/Hold Traction off button to observe changes.
