We have to also address this issues of colorism / texturism within the Black / Brown & People of Color communities. I’m highlighting the LGBTQ+ community as my channel is primarily focused on LGBTQ + 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️ topics and demographic.

So many of us claim it’s a preference to prefer a certain skin complexion over another….Which okay you have every right to your preferences. It still doesn’t mean your preferences aren’t based in anti-Blackness, racism, White Supremacy, internalized racism / self hate, etc.
