Research shows that our brain age predicts health risks and future diseases more accurately than our actual age. With support from NSF, researchers at USC have developed a new artificial intelligence model that analyzes MRI brain scans to capture cognitive decline more accurately.

While current diagnosis methods are expensive and expose patients to radiation, the team’s MRI method provides a safer alternative.
