When you are stuck on a piece, how do you move forward? Here’s what it’s like when I step back from making art and evaluate what I’ve been creating to help me understand how to move forward. It’s a step that helps my creative mind move forward. I’m still adjusting to working in collage instead of painting and I feel more creative tension than in the beginning when I get to this final stage in the creative process, trying to finish them to my satisfaction. And of course more clean up! Always with the clean up! 🧹😆
In this series I’m sharing the ups and down of an artist working in the art studio. You will get a behind-the-scenes peek into my creative process, from start to finish. My aim is to offer an honest, unfiltered version of a day in the life of a full-time artist.

My goal is to inspire you to feel comfortable with and embrace your own personal creative process and avoid common artist blocks due to technical issues, self-doubt, isolation, lack of support, etc. I want to help motivate YOU to get started or just to relax and enjoy some creative problem-solving!
