💬 Have 5 Daily Prayers been mentioned in the Qur’an?

"Maintain with care the [obligatory] prayers and [in particular] the middle prayer and stand before Allah, devoutly obedient."
_*[Al-Baqarah 2:238]*_✨

✅ The Companions of the Prophet and Scholars agree that “ٱلصَّلَوَٰتِ” from the phrase “حَٰفِظُواْ عَلَى ٱلصَّلَوَٰت” means “5 prayers.”

✅ They also agree that “اَلصَّلَوٰةِ ٱلۡوُسۡطَى” represents _*‘Asr’ Salah*_, as it is indeed the middle prayer.

“And establish Salah at both ends of the day, and in the early hours of the night.”
*_[Hud 11: 114]_*✨

1️⃣ First Opinion:
🌤️ In Islam, the day starts at dawn, at the time of Fajr Salah, and ends at sunset, at the time of Maghrib Salah. Thus, one end of the day is “Fajr” while the other end is “Maghrib”.

⛅ In between these two ends lay the prayers of Fajr, Dhuhr, Asr and Maghrib.

🌌 It represents the Salah of Isha.
♦️The Companions of the Prophet and Scholars agree that in this verse, all 5 prayers have been mentioned, without actually calling out their names.

2️⃣ Second Opinion:
⛅ Some Scholars believe that “Salah at both ends of the day” represents the prayers of Fajr, Dhuhr and Asr, while "(Salah) in the early hours of the night” represents the Salah of Maghrib and Isha.

“Establish salah between the decline of the sun and the darkness of the night, and the recital at dawn. Surely, the recital at dawn is well attended.”
*_[Al-Isra 17:78]_*✨

“Establish salah between the decline of the sun” represents the prayers of Dhuhr, Asr and Maghrib.”

“(Establish prayer in) the darkness of the night” represents the Isha prayer.

“The recital at dawn. Surely, the recital at dawn is well attended” represents the Fajr Salah.

“Must seek your permission (to see you) at three times: before the prayer of Fajr, when you take off your clothes at noon and after the prayer of ` Isha'. These are three times of privacy for you. There is no harm, neither to you nor to them after these (three times). They are your frequent visitors as some of you are (frequent visitors) of the others. This is how Allah explains the verses to you. And Allah is All-Knowing, All-Wise.”
*_[An-Nur 24:58]_*✨

🕌 This verse mentions the prayers of Fajr, Dhuhr and Isha.

“I swear by the Time, Indeed, mankind is in loss.”
[Al-Asr 103: 1-2]

🌄Most of the Scholars believe that in this verse Allah swore upon the time of Asr.

“As also We have sent in your midst a messenger from among you, who recites to you Our verses, and purifies you, and teaches you the Book and the wisdom, and teaches you what you did not know.”
*_[Al-Baqarah 2:151]_*✨

📌 To disobey Prophet of Allah ﷺ means to deny the Qur’an.

🕋 Five Prayers; In the Light of Ahadeeth:
📚“During the Night of Mi’raaj, Allah enjoined fifty prayers on the Muslims, which were later reduced to five prayers a day.”
