A doctor points out the symptoms of sickness to their patient that they might be healthy and follow their guidance for healing. A lawyer advises their client how not to break the law that they might live in freedom rather than imprisonment. An umpire or referee ensures the game is fairly played according the rules so that there might be joy for all.

God has told us His plan for life through His commandments. They aren't harsh and oppressive, but rather a lens for us to see our need for him and Fatherly wisdom so that life may go well for us. He loves us enough to show us the seriousness of our sin and to provide the solution in His Son Jesus' death on the cross and resurrection from the grave. God speaks clearly to us through the Bible, may we be quick to listen and obey out of a love for His greatness and goodness! (www.trustworthyword.com/human-sin)

“Keep a close watch on yourself and on the teaching. Persist in this, for by so doing you will save both yourself and your hearers.” 1 Timothy 4:16
