Do you ever feel lonely or depressed? Do you wish you could find a way to overcome these negative emotions and live a happier and more fulfilling life?
If so, you might want to learn from the ancient Stoics. Stoicism is a philosophy that teaches us how to live well, regardless of our circumstances. Stoicism helps us to control our emotions, to focus on what we can control, and to accept what we cannot. Stoicism shows us how to be self-reliant, resilient, and virtuous.
In this video, I will share with you eight Stoic remedies for feeling lonely or depressed. These remedies are based on the teachings of the three main Stoic philosophers: Seneca, Epictetus, and Marcus Aurelius. By applying these remedies, you will be able to transform your negative emotions into positive ones, and to find meaning and joy in your life.
The eight Stoic remedies are:
00:00 - introduction
01:40 - Remember that you are never alone.
03:15 - Seek wisdom, not pleasure.
05:06 - Practice gratitude, not complaint.
06:59 - Choose your company wisely, not randomly.
08:42 - Serve others, not yourself.
10:29 - Embrace adversity, not avoid it.
12:15 - Meditate, not ruminate.
14:21- Live in the present, not in the past or the future.

Watch this video to learn more about each remedy, and how to apply them in your daily life. You will also hear some inspiring quotes from the Stoic masters, and some examples from my own experience.
