A one-day workshop, sponsored by Texas AgriLife Extension and held in the small southeast Texas town of West Columbia, explored the new problem of a tiny ant that rivals the fire ant as a pest. Our field trip revealed an ant that appears capable of overwhelming other ants and insects in natural as well as human environments.
