Take a behind-the-scenes look at the making of the Blue Beetle costume, worn by actor Xolo Maridueña in the DC Blue Beetle movie. The challenges of creating this incredibly detailed and comic-accurate Blue Beetle costume by costume designers Mayes C. Rubeo and Jose Fernandez (Ironhead Studio, Inc.). In addition to looking good, the Blue Beetle costume also needs to be functional and comfortable for Xolo Maridueña to wear. The costume designers used a variety of materials and techniques to achieve this, including urethane casting and Eurojersey fabric. As a result, the Blue Beetle costume became one of the most comic-accurate in live-action superhero movies.
