But many sources claim that the royal power couple are subtly changing the monarchy. Kate and William are making solid steps towards becoming the “People’s Prince and Princess”. William is doing a lot for nature conservation and ecology, while Kate is working with numerous children patronages. And it looks like Harry and Meghan gave the Cambridges a good lesson in social media presence. Their official Instagram account became less formal, and features personal messages and inside looks at their daily life. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are trying to be more fun and approachable.

As for William and Harry's alleged feud, there are some new speculations to the topic. Kate and William were absent from the group zoom call on Harry's 36th birthday. The Cambridges sent their birthday wishes via Instagram, but they chose a picture which did not include Meghan.

The Cambridges are doing their best to give their children as normal lives as possible. Yet, homeschooling during the quarantine was really challenging for the royal parents. Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis recently appeared together in an Instagram video, where they asked Sir David Attenborough questions about animals. Thus the little royals learn to speak on camera and prepare for their future roles in the monarchy.

With Kate and William’s new responsibilities, the couple appears to be even more engaged in the royal routines than Prince Charles. Recently the Cambridges filled in for the Queen at the first diplomatic visit since before the pandemic lockdown. And The Queen continues to delegate new responsibilities to William and Kate.
The Cambridges became more relaxed in their senior royals role, and they've been even spotted breaking royal protocols. Will they eventually change the perception of the royal family? We'll see.
