The ongoing climate change is a major challenge for humanity. One of the first cuts to counter this is the collection of climate data. The video shows how laser-based Light Detection and Ranging systems (LIDAR) collect data on e.g. methane concentration in the atmosphere. The optimization of weather forecast can be realized by better data quality e.g. by measuring wind profiles with LIDAR technology.
