Manually mounting tires on rims by hand for your trailer. Trailer tires are often sold as a separate tire only, tire mounted on a steel painted rim or trailer tire mounted on a galvanized rim. In this video I address - How hard is it to mount a trailer tire to a rim by hand? And - Is having a trailer tire mounted on a rim really cheaper than buying a trailer tire already mounted on a rim?

If you need new tires for your trailer, is it more cost effective or cheaper to just buy the tires and have them mounted or is it a good idea to try to mount tires with a mini tire changer like the ones from Tractor Supply, Harbor Freight or Amazon? Are those mini tire changers worth purchasing? I see how challenging it is to remove an old tire from a trailer rim with basic hand tools to mount a small 4.80/4.00-8 trailer tire to the rim.

Lastly I address whether it is cheaper to buy a tire and pay to have it mounted on an existing trailer tire rim instead of purchasing a trailer tire already mounted on a rim.
