I purchased this 1930s Marx Toy Tow Truck from eBay September of 2020. I was super excited about this one, I really love the Marx toys. This particular model had an option of having working headlights and I've always wanted on of these for the collection. I decided to do a working headlight conversion on this toy. I was unsure about making the parts and was terrified of destroying the grille since there are no aftermarket replacements. This restoration went incredibly well and overall I'm amazed at how well it turned out and works.
