The Stinger has been updated for 2021 with a new infotainment system and some handy driverless tech. There’s also a new exhaust note to improve the old model’s dull sound.
The problem is it hasn’t really made all that much of a difference to the Audi A5 Sportback rival. In fact, the sound difference was so negligible that we couldn’t really get it on camera. Still, noise isn’t everything. The 361bhp 3.3-litre V6 engine in the Stinger isn’t the most characterful engine on sale, but the chassis it’s strapped to is really quite special. That’s because it’s been engineered by Albert Biermann, the mastermind behind BMW M and now Hyundai’s N division. So does that make the Stinger a proper drivers car? Or is it all show and no go?
