During her singing career, Parton released 243 songs as a lead artist & featured artist. Her 25 recordings have been certified as Gold Record, Platinum Record, or Multi-Platinum Record. She has had 26 songs reach no. 1 on the Billboard country charts, a record for a female artist.

Born in a mediocre family, Dolly started to perform on radio and television since her childhood. Then, she happened to meet with Johnny Cash, who persuaded her to follow her heart’s passion and seek a career in music. In the mid-1960s, she started composing songs for other artists. Then Dolly released her 1st single, “Just Because I’m a Woman,” in 1968, followed by many successful hits.
