The Iron Dog snowmobile race from Big Lake, along the Iditarod trial, and through Kotzebue, Noorvik, Ambler and back to Big Lake is a grueling test of endurance and skill. Covering over 2,000 miles of challenging Alaskan terrain, this race pushes competitors to their limits. It's a true display of determination, teamwork, and the spirit of adventure. We went with a masterplan to catch the beginning and then see the ravers along the trail, but things did not go as planned.
