Ever since Walt Disney World introduced Disney Genie+ in 2021, there’s been a lot of information to digest. Even more so, details continue to change and new strategies to develop. Because we know it can be overwhelming, we wanted to try to make it as easy for you as possible, especially if you’ve never used the service before to tour the parks.

Genie+ is the new paid-FastPass system. It’s similar to the now-retired MaxPass at Disneyland.

You choose the next available time to arrive at a variety of attractions (like Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Haunted Mansion, and Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run) and other experiences.

When your return time is called, you enter the attraction via the “Lightning Lane,” which is the new word for FastPass lines.

Disney World guests purchasing Disney Genie+ service also receive digital downloads of their Disney PhotoPass attraction photos, taken in the park on the day of their purchase, at no additional charge.
