If you like the older generation Audi A6, test drive it and compare it to the new generation. Maybe the tuning of the turbo/engine is better. The Porsche Macan 2.0's turbo lag wasn't this bad. The only car I can think of that had similar, although not as bad turbo lag, was the Mercedes Benz AMG CLA 35.

If your driving the A6 casually, it's still pretty bad but may not annoy you. It can be a safety hazard as well with all that power coming on at one time.

Take a test drive and see for yourself. I've driven many vehicles so you may not notice it as much. Or check out the Audi A6 3.0 V6. The turbos may not be as evasive since the engine provides some low end torque before the turbos kick in.
