The Right to Equitable and Professional Auto Industry Repair Act, or REPAIR Act, was introduced to the House of Representatives for consideration by Rep. Bobby Rush (D-IL) on February 2, 2022. This bill:

1) Requires automobile manufacturers to make vehicle-generated data available to vehicle owners and their designees (i.e. repair shops) directly and in real-time.

2) Prevents automobile manufacturers from requiring or recommending the use of a particular brand's parts or tools during the repair process.
