I was invited to attend @gatheringsupercars rally event in Porto, Portugal this May. It is the most exclusive, and largest hyper and supercar meet in Portugal with over 100 supercars attending over a long weekend in the city of Porto.

One highlight car was the Lamborghini Miura SV, only 150 were built between 1971 and 1973, the Miura SV’s are incredibly rare V12 supercars. The Miura SV model was the last and most famous Miura model with 385 bhp and 400 nm torque.

The event started at the Vinha Hotel, Porto where all supercar owners were able to share a luxurious welcome dinner. It was fantastic to be able to share the car passion with the Portuguese supercar community and experience and share their enthusiasm for the supercar lifestyle.

Saturday started with a supercar convoy to the supercar meet in the centre of Porto, (which is a beautiful city). A police convoy of nearly 20 police motorbikes and cars escorted us across Porto city roads, country roads and even the motorway, over 100 supercars and hypercars were involved from Lamborghinis to Ferraris, Porsche and McLaren’s.

Nearly all models from the Lamborghini brand were present from SVJ roadsters & Aventador to STO’s and Technica’s. Maranello Legacy, the largest group of Ferrari owners in Portugal ensured Ferrari’s were in large numbers too.

Many thanks to @lav1life @gatheringsupercars for inviting me to share the supercar passion at the Portuguese largest Supercar Event. It was a fuel-filled weekend which was incredibly enjoyable. This was my first trip to Portugal to discover the supercar Portuguese community and it certainly won’t be my last. The country is beautiful with some fantastic roads to drive and the Portuguese are so hospitable.
