Does this 3D print need supports? Clearly.. yes. So I set my 3D printer's slicer Cura to do the opposite of what logic and all 3D printing common sense dictates, I turned supports off. I did give the 3D print a fighting chance with a raft under the legs. I am learning that 3D printing fails is actually much much harder than I thought. My CR-10 S4 3D printer seems to want to complete the 3D print successfully or fail right from the first later. I have an whole series of these hopefully humorous 3D prints on the way so stay tuned!

Help me convince my wife that 3D printing is a useful hobby and please subscribe and like the video. Note: I am not 100% sure this video helps my case.

This time lapse was taken on my current favorite printer(meaning it is the one that is working), the CR-10 S4. With a heated bed that measures 400 x 400 x 400, I will be printing some huge models.

New to 3D Printing and need some help? I offer a variety of 3D printer classes on my website https://3dprintedteacher.com/courses/... My newest class is a self-paced course for young 3D printer owners age 9-13 that would like to learn how to get the most out of their 3D printing journey.

How time lapse 3D Prints Work
After each .2 MM layer( That is barely thicker than a sheet of paper!) the 3D printer pauses, moves the extruder to the rear of the printer, takes a photo and then continues the print giving the illusion of the print appearing from thin air.
