Welcome back to the @WorldofCars channel!
First of all, I've made a mistake - incorrectly naming Piston as "Cylinder head" and Connecting Rod as "Piston". I am very well aware that I cannot see cylinder head from the bottom of the engine (where I was capturing the video). I apologize and hope did not mislead anyone. Unfortunately, I only noticed this mistake after uploading the video.
Once this has been cleared, let's try to answer the question: "Should you change an Engine Oil every 5k miles or 6 months?"
Short answer is YES!!! And here’s why - in this video I’ll be showing you the 2.4L Mitsubishi Galant engine 4 cylinders with 220k miles on it that never went overdue on the oil change. The results of the frequent oil change speak for themselves and are obvious in this video.
I’ll be taking a close look at each cylinder wall and piston to determine the overall condition of each cylinder. After inspecting my engine, I can assure that it easily can give a break to some of the relatively new engines. If you do want your car engine to last longer than an average, you must change engine oil every 5k miles or 6 months!
Remember - Oil is cheap, Engine is expensive!!!
Enjoy!
