INEOS Chairman Sir Jim Ratcliffe signs off Grenadier prototypes in the Austrian mountains to move the project forward to its next phase of testing.

​For the last 60 years Magna Steyr’s mountainous proving grounds have been the ultimate test of off-road capability and durability.

Intensified 2021 engineering programme introduces second phase of prototypes.

The partnership will see BMW’s TwinPower Turbo petrol and diesel engines, famed for their world-class blend of durability, performance and efficiency, feature under the bonnet of INEOS Automotive’s off-roader.

​With this release the Grenadier is on track to meet INEOS’s quality and durability targets, with production in Hambach to start in July 2022.
