📝 Overview 📝

The internet is littered with complaints about Coinbase. Should you be looking for a Coinbase alternative? In this video, I get into all that.

❓What Are The Problems At Coinbase❓

► Outages are common in highly volatile markets. That means many people cannot place trades during the times they most want to.
► Seemingly random account shutdowns.
► Coinbase tracks the coins you buy, even when you take them off the exchanges.
► Coinbase is selling blockchain analysis software to the US government.
► Shoddy customer support.
► The company has also tried to patent things like hot wallets. Coinbase has not invented these things and many see these actions as unethical.
► Coinbase charges some of the most expensive fees in the world.

5️⃣ Gemini 5️⃣

Established in 2015, this exchange is owned and operated by the Winklevoss twins. That’s right, those blokes who had that big argument with Zuckerberg about Facebook.

Gemini is super friendly for crypto newbies. However, for the best fees, you will want to use the ActiveTrader interface. This basically offers things like advanced charting, additional trading pairs, different order types and allows you to see the order books. It also allows you to enjoy fees of just 0.35%.

► Deposit methods: Bank transfer & crypto.
► Support: Email via online form.
► Gemini is all about regulatory compliance.
► Relatively limited number of coins for trading.

4️⃣ Bittrex 4️⃣

Bittrex went live back in 2013 and the founders actually all worked at Microsoft in the past. Bittrex basically owns two exchanges. The first is regular Bittrex which serves the US market. Bittrex Global is for everyone else.

The main draw of this exchange is that it gives you access to hundreds of coins. It also has that USD and EUR on and off ramp too.

► Deposit methods: Bank transfer, debit/credit card & crypto.
► Support: Online form and social media.

3️⃣ Bitstamp 3️⃣

Founded in 2011, Over 60 countries are supported and this exchange is a favourite for those that want an option with a real long track record.

Bitstamp takes a quality over quantity approach when it comes to support for crypto assets. That means it only supports seven of the biggest cryptos.

► Deposit methods: SEPA, card, international wire.
► Support: Email via online form.

2️⃣ Kraken 2️⃣

Kraken was founded in 2011 and is based in San Francisco. Over 4 million active traders call Kraken their home and they are even raising funding at a $4 billion valuation - not too shabby.

Kraken has a reputation for excellence and I really recommend you watch my Kraken Vs Coinbase Pro video here 👉    • BEST CRYPTO EXCHANGE? Coinbase Pro Vs...

1️⃣ Binance 1️⃣

Now I am sure most of you have heard of Binance and how it’s the place to go to stock up on altcoins. What many people do not know is that Binance has been on a tear when it comes to adding fiat currency support with over 50 different currencies added.

That includes some pretty exotic currencies like the Kenyan Shilling and Kazakhstani Tenge. Needless to say, the US dollar, Euro and the British pound are also supported.

If you want to learn more about that and why Binance is one of the top Coinbase alternatives, then I really recommend you watch the video!
