The Steven Universe Future episode "In Dreams" highlights how Steven has been having nightmares. These nightmares have a much deeper meaning than just surface level unsettling, and they give a good look into Steven's psyche at the time that this episode took place. The projection of these dreams were clearly Steven's way of calling for help, and he got that help through Peridot.

Between Yellow Diamond being a pineapple, Blue Diamond being a dolphin, and White Diamond just being a giant pair of feet, it's clear that his nightmares will be both fun and intriguing to analyze.
