On this day (March 2020), I explored a well-known beach in California, in the city of San Diego called Mission Beach. This beach is San Diego’s lively take on a classic boardwalk beach town. It is nearly two miles of an oceanfront boardwalk with abundant of rental shops and an amusement park called Belmont Park. Belmont Park features the Giant Dipper Roller Coaster, originally built in 1925. Mission Beach is usually crowded with individuals on a Saturday sunny day, however, in these shattering moments, the Coronavirus, also known as COVID-19, has taken over the United States by storm. COVID-19 is striking the fear into individuals and the Mayor of San Diego (Kevin L. Faulconer) is following the fight against the Coronavirus. This is resulting in these troubling times with the spread of the Coronavirus. It was staggering to experience San Diego Mission Beach in the way it was; empty. This is history in the making with what is going on today. We as human beings will overcome this pandemic and for those individuals who lost their jobs due to the virus outbreak and shut downs, Godspeed.
